Has anyone replaced the incandescent bulbs (blinkers, headlamp, taillight) with LEDs? I have an 09 that I was thinking would be nice to do this on. LED's are so much easier to see. I was doing a little research and there are a lot of LEDs out there, but I was also reading that depending on the year of the bike you may have to add a diode or something to that effect?? Anyway, any advice or what worked for you would be great/helpful. Thanks in advance.
The headlight and runing will be seamless but led's in your blinkers will probably give you hyper-flashing without a load compensator. Custom Dynamics would be a good place to look.

A call to Custom Dynamics is in order. You will need a load balancer, but they can educate you and get you squared away with everything you need.

I did message Custom Dynamics and they already responded. (Great customer service). The did say I'd need the SMART Signal Stabilizer, so I think I'm good to go. I'll just have to pick out which ones I want.
My bike's older, so I needed the load equalizers until I installed a RUN/BRAKE/TURN module
it has a load equalizer built in.
I also did my dash light bulbs. I don't think that's an option for you though.

Only dash lights on my bike are on the tank console and speedo. All those the tank console lights are very dim... I wonder if those can be replaced with LEDs. I might have to look into that.

Yep, I was just checking my lights out on the '09 I just bought the other day. Comparing them to how bight and noticeable the LEDs are on my '18... There is no comparison.... I'll be swapping mine out after I pick out what I want.

My dash LED's are so bright they're annoying
Good thing they don't say on long.
I did color LED's to match the lens colors.
I also did color LED's in the speedometer and tach.
I went LED close to 20 years ago. Back then, I installed, and still have installed, the Kuryakyn "Panacea" system, which is run/turn/brake for the rear turn signals. The rear signals are red for run and braking modes, and amber for turn mode. I run a JW Speaker Adaptive LED headlight, and the front turn signals are Kuryakyn white/amber LED inserts. They are bright white for running, and go amber for signalling. They actually add quite a bit of visible light up front, making me more visible. I know Kuryakyn gets a bad rap, but this stuff has stood the test of time, and miles. That said, if I was doing the swap from new, I would look into Custom Dynamics these days, except for the headlight. IMHO, you can't beat JW Speaker for that.
