One word LASIC'S. Then just buy a pair of shades. I done it and that was the best money I ever spent. It was $1,500.Think of all the glasses you would buy over the years and it is like just buying all of them at once.
I have Panoptx riding glasses with day/night transition lenses. I also have a pair of Wiley X but they are not as comfortable and the transition lenses do not get dark enough to me. The Panoptx work very well.

I even have bifocals in my Panoptx.
I have panoptx also but me and a friend have both experienced that after a couple years of riding, they don't transition like they used to.
I got some wrap-around type through my eye Doc. They get darker than store bought, but not dark enough on a sunny day. They do get very clear though, so I use them for night. I had them add a very low bifocal, the rest of the lens is a slight correction because I see pretty good far. Did not like them in "progressive", too much distortion with quick head movements.
I have read that the transition lenses are heat sensitive. Unfortunately, as they become hotter, they are less effective-not exactly what we need on a bike.
Panoptix suck. I paid over 200 and they don't transition at all. Sent them back to be looked at then they returned them as good to go. But always stay clear. Great for overcast days but not usable in bright sun.

Are you saying your bike gets so hot it causes transition lenses to stop transitioning? Now that's a Hot Bike!

I have the same but they wouldn't let me have Progressives. I didn't ask about the Bifocals, guess I should have. Single vision in mine. Seem to work fine but switch when I stop so I can have my Progessives on. They told me that there was too much curve for Progressives.
