i think this forum and the members are funny. i've picked up some good tips, picked up some horrible grammar and spellling errors, looked at some pretty ladies, looked at some not so pretty ladies, but all with a smile. this is life 101 at its finest. i don't care what anyone on here thinks of me, of my bike, of you or your bike. i came in with no expectations (well, that's a lie, i wanted to sell a gazzillion RoadLoKs) and i will leave with nothing more.
thank you and good day.

ORIGINAL: Urban Coyote

There is lots of basic information and helpful advice here on HDForums, but there is also a side to it where much of it is a poor attitude to anything or anyone who isn't 100% Harley Davidson, rides a metric, comments on what people ride, drive, or wear, calling people cagers, RUBs, wanna-be's because they don't fit the "real biker image" to some ofthe standards of certain Harley owners.
Some here even badmouth Harley Davidson for not being the same company they were years ago.

I may badmouth unsafe sportbike riders, but that is because they pose a danger to everyone, not just to themselves, but I could care less what type or brand of bike they have. If a guy wants a Yamaha that looks like a Harley then all the power to him for just wanting to own and enjoy a motorcycle. If some rich guy buys the most expensive bike there is and never rides it, then why should it matter to you? Jealous?

Why should it matter what brand of t-shirt someone wears or if people wear patches and pins on their jackets? Let's set our standards a bit more higher and with something much more important.

Basically, there are some here with certain opinions and standards which actually kill the joy of owning a motorcycle, PERIOD, and are the true posers.

For those who gave me advice and help, I do thank you and fully appreciate it, but I may have to look for a different motorcycle forum or just enjoy the ride on my own.
Hey Urban puppy, Did you not read what you typed here?...........Did you realy think everybody was going to see it your way? NOT!!!!! Grow a thicker skin.

I like things the way they are. It is good entertainment. Don't take it too seriously and you'll be okay.

Urban, I admit I'm an A-hole. Just read my sig.[sm=badbadbad.gif]

BUT, 99% of the time I'm a purty nice guy. Just ask my GF!

However, I have only been here since last winter, and after looking around, I have found that THESE are the people I wanna hang with on the net. Some will meet with me sometime soon on the road. I've made some great friends already and hope to make MANY more.

SO, if you find a place better than this to read, post, raise a little hell, have fun, and just plain relax in, you PM me and tell me about it. OK, bro?

I think "Chief X" said it very well in his post above. Except I ain't sellin' nuthin'! LMMFAO!

Always a down side to deal with &maybe that is ainfluence on expectations. What yousee as negative often islevity. I see a well balanced group of people who for the better part are successful in getting along while shareing information & laughs.

One of the reasons I like reading the posts in this forums is because it's like life, sometimes you meet good and bad. I might not fit in with some people, but I'll fit in somewhere else. We all have riding in common, and even if I don't agree with what you might say, I'll still ride with you. People are people whatever they ride, and being people means we all can't be the same. I don't like to hang out at some of the Yuppie bars, it's not because of the bar, I just don't feel right around some of the "showoff" clientele weekend warriors that hang out there. I like meeting new people and going new places and taking everyone at face value, in fact someday I'm sure I'll meet some people off of here, if there was someway I could wear a patch or something of that nature to signify I'm a member of this forum, I'm sure I would of already met some.
But life is like a box of chocolates, I don't like coconut, but my wife does, just eat what I want and give her the rest. Just look around the posts that **** you off and read the ones you want too. I like all of them, it just shows the diversity of human nature, I don't fit a cookie cutter mold lifestyle, and never will, but don't be mad at me becuase I don't want to be a 1%. I'll still respect you for who you are, just might not agree.
And at the end of the day, if we can all sit down and have a cold one together, more power to us, different strokes is what makes life interesting. I went to the NBR rally here in Kansas City about a month ago and had fun, alot of people didn't want to go becuase they thought they wouldn't fit in, well it was fun, good fun, good entertainment, and alot of nice bikes. We all being riders hold the same interest in something, so it gives us all something to talk about. That's what makes life interesting and I hope to meet you down the road somewhere and buy you a beer, Odoul's if you don't drink!

I love the replies.
Makes me realize the difference between a proctologist and an HD Forum reader- a proctologist only has to deal with one a-hole at a time!
