There is lots of basic information and helpful advice here on HDForums, but there is also a side to it where much of it is a poor attitude to anything or anyone who isn't 100% Harley Davidson, rides a metric, comments on what people ride, drive, or wear, calling people cagers, RUBs, wanna-be's because they don't fit the "real biker image" to some ofthe standards of certain Harley owners.
Some here even badmouth Harley Davidson for not being the same company they were years ago.

Basically, there are some here with certain opinions and standards which actually kill the joy of owning a motorcycle, PERIOD, and are the true posers.

For those who gave me advice and help, I do thank you and fully appreciate it, but I may have to look for a different motorcycle forum or just enjoy the ride on my own.
Then go somewhere else. Start a goodbye thread like all the other people that no longer want to be here. Or, you could do us all a favor and leave quietly. I took pococj's advise and looked at some of your past posts. You probably would be happier on another forum.

I would suggest that you usethisforum fortechnical advice only. If you are thinking about finding another forum, I can tell you that there are keyboard commandos just about everywhere that like to talk $hitbehind the security of a screename. It makes me chuckle. Luckily, the vast majority of the folks in here seem to bevery knowledgable and respectful andI imagine would care less what you ride or wear.
Hope to see you in Key West, I'll make ya a drink on Saturday, the 15th of Sept if you go. I bought a 3 HP blender. I do not like those who complain bout those who complain about those who complain about complainers. That is my only problem here (I am not talking about dash8dvr). Posting here was a convient way to drink a drink with someone who visits here and may like a drink in Key West where there are no worries. By the way, I do not know this girl, however, she makes rust look good!

I may badmouth unsafe sportbike riders, but that is because they pose a danger to everyone, not just to themselves, but I could care less what type or brand of bike they have. If a guy wants a Yamaha that looks like a Harley then all the power to him for just wanting to own and enjoy a motorcycle. If some rich guy buys the most expensive bike there is and never rides it, then why should it matter to you? Jealous?

Why should it matter what brand of t-shirt someone wears or if people wear patches and pins on their jackets? Let's set our standards a bit more higher and with something much more important.

Basically, there are some here with certain opinions and standards which actually kill the joy of owning a motorcycle, PERIOD, and are the true posers.

Hey Urban puppy, Did you not read what you typed here?...........Did you realy think everybody was going to see it your way? NOT!!!!! Grow a thicker skin.

Urban Puppy? Yeah, okay....mature.

Without wanting it to be taken as an arrogant comment, if many people on this plant remotely saw ANYTHING my way, there would be a lot more nicer people in the world.
Not the people who "act nice" either. Those people are called posers and hypocrites.

A negative post about people being negative does not make a positive.
It would make a double negative...

Well ... I was going to jump right in and start by saying ... although we have a percentage of some kind of negativity ... it all comes with the territory. You know .. Ying and Yang kinda thing. With these many members ... It's ain't gonna be a bed of roses...I can tell you that for free! I agree with others who have advised you have to be very selective in what you want to read or choose to believe. This forum is for entertainment purposes only.

Although this forum is a Harley Davidson enthusiast based forum, I don't think our majority have any problems with non Harley owners/riders. Of course, they like to raz the "RUB's" ... but in all seriousness would just as easily ride and converse with them as they would anybody and I also think pretty much everybody here has little patience for idiots.

THEN ... I read the rest of the thread.

I can't believe how many of our members were sooo quick to jump in and prove you absolutely correct...especially with the negativity comment!
These guys (at least the ones who chose to respond) ARE a very negative group (for the most part..at least in this thread) ... there were a few who actually had good responses in defence ... the others ... well had nothing but insulting comments.

Flaming someone who has posted their thoughts about negativity is kinda ironic ... don't you think?

I still think ... as far as forums go... and considering the number of people (some complete strangers and some close friends) from all over the world who are part of this "community" ... This is still a pretty good place to hang around.

Take it for what it is ... The internet.

I'm offended by your signature. Does that automatically make me an *******? Does that make me negative or insulting? Just curious..

*You* are the guy who posted about taking out your road rage on a biker numbnutz...you call that nice?

What a piece...

Folks...I suggested what he might do...but he ain't gettin' it.
