Text on my screen issues
I had a samsung galaxy 8 paired to my 2022 SG . worked great . got calls and texts to my Boom box screen . just changed phones to a Goggle pixel 8 . now I receive only calls , no texts to the boom box , GRRRR. the phone works fine on my Nissan . Wondering if I have to return the phone for a different brand or if there is some sort of setting sort will work . yes I paired the phone , in fact I paired to my wife's HD trike and it doesn't work in that one either r. but works in her Nissan car as well as mine . Any input would be great .

when you received texts before, were they being displayed on the screen? i'm not so familiar with android auto, but with my apple carplay, when i receive a text, it is not displayed on the screen, but is read aloud to me. interacting with written texts seems like a recipe for disaster to me...

I don't know anything about Android but with iOS I have to enable "Show Message Notifications" in the Bluetooth settings for each device I want to receive messages on. There might be a similar setting in your new phone that didn't get turned on by default.

I don't need a head set to receive texts , only to answer the phone . all setting r set up right . called HD consumer support . they said to down load the new version . did that . problem still there . tried 4 other phones from friends , they all do the same thing . system worked on my 2016 SG and my my wife's 2021 and my 2022 until I got a new phone . good grief . dealership can't help me out either . no tech there that knows dick .... GRRRRRR. not using android auto or car play , it is in settings , bluetooth , can even have an auto generated message for a reply . worked great until new phone

well I finally got a hold HD support , only took a hour on hold. they said to install the new software . that took 1 hour to figure out . got it though, still doesn't work . called HD support again , just over a hour on hold again , explained the issue again . they said if the new new soft ware didn't work wait until and new software comes out as HD doesn't have new enough software for the new cell phones , great !!!!!! But my 2018 Nissan does . yeeks
