I didn't notice the duel pipes in the photo. I would take a second look and reconsider your set up before adding more stuff. It is after all just my two cents, but if you didn't toss your stock pipes I would think about putting the old pipes back on. Especially if the duels burned you that bad.
Actualy if I would have to put the stock pipes back on I would get rid of the bike. The stock pipes are right down stupid and leave no room for decent bags. Since I tour on this bike it would do me no good to have miniture bags.

I already know what and where the issue is..this is just an interm fix my Hubby wants to try (again it was not my coice to buy it).As stupid as it looks it will help me determine some other issues I might be having. I am determing if I want to invest on repairing my other issues with this bike or change bikes due to other more pressing health issues. this is muuuuuuuuch cheaper then just pouring money in or switching bikes.

I'm no expert here... but I would have to say IMO, a stupid pipe would be the one that gives you 2nd degree burns even if you can fit bigger bags. I didn't have the heat problems but I did have the same storage problems and I ended up going with a Ultra Classic. I liked the Deluxe a lot and hated to see it go but was no touring bike.

They still have a Blue '07 at the dealer....I keep hinting but Hubby keeps avoiding that dealer[&:] I did see a Deluxe surrounded by touring bikes. You could REALLLLLLLLY tell the difference in height and the tank sizes....made the poor Deluxe look soooooo little.

I think if I get the seat fixed I can manage with the Deluxe. The seat dude just shaved the sides so I have no protection from the heat were most do...it's really a pretty small area that needs to be fixed. And the Gel transfers the heat because the seat has been shaved down.

Still that CVO is sure pretty

As for the Koolking....I got to pay more attention to it on the way home.

I feel like the flying Harley. At 80 it just flies up like wings! The good thing is that it is not causing heat issues...the bad thing is it's flapping at me.....

I'll probably return it but it was worth a shot.

I'm mostly curious how it affects the rider. I do enjoy having here legs wrapped around me, but not all the time. Do you think that last statement qualifies me to post in the 'you might be gay' post... or would that be a poser issue for the guys with too much time on their hands, or is it in their hands
