Tonight I'm staying in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
The trip across Kansas and into Colorado was sunny, but windy. Beautiful old windmill in same picture of some of the green new eyesores. Old bike, older house. I remember when these were top of the line. Kansas always had great stones in their structures. Of course the bank was the biggest building in these small towns. HOLYROOD???? I'm sure this is how Scooby Doo would pronounce Hollywood.
Last night I stayed in Farmington, New Mexico. It was a beautiful ride across Colorado and into New Mexico.
Tonight I should be home in Phoenix. 🌞 🌞 A lot of snow still on the mountain tops. The Rio Grande lazily flowing south through Colorado. I passed through a couple passes over 10,000 feet. There's still some snow on the ground. I can't remember the name of this river. I know the trout fishermen really like it. Just a quiet creek. I like the bridge and the snow covered mountains behind it.
I got home around 8:00 last night. I was out for 12 days, four of them spending quality time with my Mom.
I put a little over 3,000 miles on my 1990 Electra Glide Sport.
Whenever I stop at one of the gas stations on the Reservations there's always stray dogs. I gave him and some pups my beef jerky. There was a mother and a litter of pups living in an abandoned school next to the gas station. An old octagon building along old route 66 in Arizona. Any body remember the 60's sitcom F Troop? Along old route 66, currently interstate I-40 someone built a F Troop tourist stop. Abandoned and vandalized most of the old fort still stands. One of the barracks burnt down a few years ago.

Glad that you had a great trip and made it home OK. I've driven or ridden past that F-Troop place a bunch of times over the past 43 years. I always thought that I should stop in some time and check it out but I never have. I can't remember the last time that it was open, I'm thinking that it closed around 2013 or 14.
