I’ve seen Solovair boots recommended here on HDF. Does anyone know whether they offer adequate protection for motorcycle riding?
thank you…
I ride and hike a fair amount and comfortable all day riding boots that I can hike rocky trails are essential to me. I also prefer 6" side zip, lightweight, waterproof and boots I can wear in summer or winter with hiking socks. Check out this site, Ive bought 5-11 tactical, Bates and Reebok tactical boots from them. They also sell Danner and Merrell. They usually have great sales and clearance specials around major holidays. Tactical Boots | US Patriot Tactical
I looked into them and they seem ok but more aimed at being fashionable accessories than tough work boots. For the money id get a pair of clearance usa danners or redwings.

i mentioned 3 bootmakers, i know danner makes boots for the military, i dont see solovair making a duty boot.
Solovair boots are stylish and well-made but aren’t designed as motorcycle-specific gear. They lack ankle armor, reinforced toe/heel, and oil-resistant soles found in proper riding boots. For short, casual rides, they might work, but for better protection, go with purpose-built motorcycle boots. Stay safe!
