Yeah I hope it doesn't lean too much that way either.
Huh, that is not what I was expecting to see.
I expected to see a fatter tab, which would reduce or even prevent the fore to aft motion of the stand when deployed.
I also expected to see some sort of tapering or guide, to better ensure the fatter tab drops into the receiver.

Well, I'll be curious what you find when you install it.

The concern with any kickstand, I still use the term, is it will sink in or roll forward and off. Harley has the best kickstand foot, of the bikes of have rode. The japs were pointy or small. Atleast what I rode.

I am not sure how this will help a bike pointing down hill. Harleys rocking back and forth may help it actually. It doesn't simply fold up.. I get the rocking makes you wonder, if it will keep going. But jap would just fold too.

I do at times wonder about the weight. How much can it take. I am not pro harley guy. But I would think this would be enough of a safety issue, if it was an issue it would be addressed.

Great video, even more convincing than the ones with three or four guys pushing the motorcycle around the parking lot with the kickstand down.
OK. I just jacked my bike up with my hydraulic motorcycle jack that I just realized goes lower by taking the top piece off, took off the Jiffy Stand, took it apart, cleaned it got it back together and back on - now have my mind right.
I would have bet money there was something wrong with mine. Who am I to question Harley-Davidson engineers that spent a lot of time on this I'm sure.
It works and it's almost fool proof.
I think the only bad part now in my mind is the first you're going to know when there really is a problem with your kickstand loose or broken will be your bike lying on its side.
Cuz it always seems loose and broken.
I don't even know if I'll install the pucker stop now as at 5'10" with a 32-in insane I'm reaching as far as I can for the kickstand now.
I am now one with the Jiffy stand.

No I didn't say I couldn't reach it I said I'm reaching as far as I can for it.
But yeah if it were two or three inches farther forward I couldn't comfortably reach it.
So your advice to me would be to just ride the damn thing?
Thank you.

Another month and all this will be funny idea. You'll figure it out, and it will be fluid and normal to you. Just like shifting gears. Going back to a jap bike is weird for blinkers now. By end of summer, you will forget about this. If you ride it,

I ride it every day to work and back then again in the evening just for a joyride.
I never thought I would think of my Honda Magna as small but it seems small to me now. Feet on pegs with your knees kind of up in your chin. And it's an 1100 cc.
It's a 1983 (my third one) in great condition with historical plates I'd hate to sell it but you're right I don't see me riding it much anymore.

Yeah the slightly different square hole wasn't what I was expecting either. But if they made the tab fatter would be harder to get in the slot. And a lead I don't think you'd even notice. So it seems it just positions the down "kickstand" a couple inches more towards the front of the bike so that if/when it starts moving a little going down it moves towards the front of the bike and you know it can't go much farther. Rather than seeing it move slightly towards the back of the bike and thinking it make all the way up. Should get it in a few days I'll put it on try it out.
I'll see if your positions it too far forward.
