Same here with Ebay. I always check there first, but the nos selection is pretty limited at this point, at least for what I'm working on. A lot of the new old stock parts for the 5 speeds have been picked through and sellers are price-gouging the remaining nos stuff. A lot of the used stuff I've seen is ok, but a lot of it I've seen is also in pretty rough shape. Used marked is obviously not an option for bearings, seals, snap rings, gaskets etc.
A few years ago, I was also going through Newcastle HD for parts. They ended their online parts sales and I thought I was screwed then. I've been getting all of my parts from Ronnies since then. I was pretty stoked when I found Ronnies was still selling parts online. It's hard to justify dealing with having to drive hundreds of miles with every project, due to no shipping, to make it worthwhile at this point. Same goes for the dealership price markups. Who has the time, money and energy to deal with this crap? Tinkering on the bike was once something I used to find relaxing and enjoyable, but it has become entirely impractical and I question if there is a point to this anymore.
You're not the only one. It's the end of an era. Fast forward a few years and we'll be like those guys in Cuba keeping their '52 Chevs on the road by swapping in tractor engines and cobbling up parts from scrap metal.
Getting real I doubt seriously any of them could oem evo 5 speed parts outside gaskets, seals and may shift forks anyway. Bearing's can be sourced by number cross referencing, shim's, spacer, bushings and other little bits can be had from reliable sources, dealer counter would probably use the same places, factory started obsoleting evo stuff in mid 2000's any old stock is long gone. Aftermarket gear sets for the 5's have a decent track record, they aren't anywhere near the headache the 6's have been. My favorite aftermarket source for motor and trans hard parts evo's and back sold to Vtwins recently and I was a bit pissed. Was the last reliable source I had, may be out of stock at times but parts themselves were solid, the house brand was every bit as good as Andrews gears at 1/3 or less the price.

Looking around on Ronnie's web page, I don't see where they are supposedly ending online parts sales come August 31'st. I see a military discount sale that ends August 31'st.
