I don’t even have words to express how disappointed/disgusted I am with the MoCo. Ronnies HD just announced that they are going to stop online sales of parts on Aug 31st. I am currently in the process of rebuilding the transmission on my Evo Electra Glide and this was the only place left that I was still able to order parts from. The closest dealership is over 2 hrs away and would most likely have to order the majority of my parts from the warehouse anyway. So what exactly is their deal with parts? How does this benefit anyone? They make less money due to less parts sales and those who need parts can’t get them. It makes no sense. I just ordered some bearings and seals from them yesterday. If I can’t get parts that aren’t Chinese garbage, then it’s not getting fixed. I'm so tired of getting crapped on by mega corporations. If I can't get decent parts (aftermarket stuff is pretty much all low quality, unsafe garbage) then I might as well just sell the damn thing at this point, while it’s still roadworthy. Absolutely abysmal management in the MoCo. FTF!
It sucks theyre cutting off Ronnies . I used to use them for parts when I didnt mind waiting. Its not quite the same but you can order parts off the Harley website. Go under parts then under shop oem parts. You can have them shipped to you from the nearest dealer. I still liked Ronnies setup better though.
Well, that's good to know I suppose. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not, but I'm looking at parts on the H-D website now. It looks like all I'm seeing is "Item Sold In Store Only" under purchase options. No options to ship?
I seriously wonder if I am among the minority here with this problem. Doing my own maintenance on an older bike. Do the majority of people ride new bikes with warranties or something? I feel like there should/would be more of an uproar from the masses about not being able to get parts. I dunno. I'm stumped

This started several years ago.
It’s hard to tell who the moco cares about anymore.

Thats the problem with it. Some stuff they make you get at the dealer. Ronnies it didnt matter what it was.

Ronnies was thin on selection a few years ago. isn't the dealers the Moco locked down hard on any online sales several years back to push people in using local dealers, most of which have a 10-15% mark up over book retail. People and sellers have got around it by using Ebay, you have the oem part number good chance you'll find it new in the factory box on ebay a fair bit under book cost. My first stop anymore for anything I hate to say but all the usual sources for reasonable prices are gone.

I get parts from my dealer. I call them, tell them the part numbers and they tell me if they have them in stock. If they do, I pick them up. If they dont, they order them. When they come in, same thing. I pick them up. We had our uproar when all the other dealers were forced to stop selling online a few years ago. It didnt do any good, so we learned to deal with it I guess.
