Tuner
I have a feeling those that get their bikes tuned are doing so after warranty has finished or have no intention of ever seeing the dealer again after purchase.
Better question to ask your dealer though.

I installed a PV4 tuner, RS528 cam, intake, exhaust, clutch, comp ramp, oil pump, cam plate, lifters, pushrods, handlebars, and all kinds of other stuff all by myself at home within a couple weeks of buying my bike new.
I knew going in that my warranty wasnt likely to survive but I knew what I wanted for the bike and wasn't about to wait 2 years for it. I'm not getting any younger

Use a tuner and your radio **** breaks? Harley will repair it under warranty.
Use a tuner and your piston comes blasting out of the cylinder? No warranty coverage.
Bought a $4,000 extended warranty, then used a tuner, and a piston rod breaks? No warranty on any powertrain components, during the factory period or during your extended warranty.
And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch about Magnuson Moss, Magnuson Moss is about the right to repair. Not the right to violate federal law (the Clean Air Act) with impunity. Replacement parts = ok. Hop-up parts = no warranty and maybe a fine.

if you try to make a warranty claim on something that's related to the mods you did. Its definitely not an old wives tale. Been told to me directly by multiple dealers over the years
