Default Tuner recommendations

I just picked up a 2014 Streetglide. I've always been a Shovel/Evo guy. I've always done all of my own work up to this point. I was thinking of getting a tuner. I have a HD warranty on the bike so it needs to be a Screaming Eagle tuner. Anything else would void my warranty. Any recommendations? Is it worth getting one? It has aftermarket. mufflers and a K&N air filter. This is all new to me. Thank you

Assuming you meant to say you have 2014 bike, how is it still under warranty?

So you have a third party service contract, not a factory warranty. That might be good news. It's true that with bikes still under HD factory warranty there are limits as to what you can do with tuning. This was mandated by the EPA. I don't think it applies to your bike, but read the contract to see if it has any restrictions like that. If not, it should allow you install any tuner you want.

I checked my paperwork. It's a HD warranty.

I wouldn’t waste my money on a SE tuner. If you’re going to make changes, wait for your warranty to expire then get a real tuner. JMO.

Sounds to me like you did the same thing I did on my low mileage 2014 Electra Glide I bought a little over a year ago. I bought a 2 year "Extended Service Plan" from HD not factory warranty. Talk to your dealer about it, there are different rules between Factory warranty and Extended Service Plans and with the Extended Service Plan there was not as many restrictions regarding tuners, allowing me to use whatever tuner I wanted.

if its just air filter and exhaust no need for a tuner really, it may run a tad lean, but check your plugs.Any piggy back tuner won't void your warranty like the fuelmoto micro efi, as you can remove it and it dosent alter the ecm. You will just need like 5% more fuel for those upgrades you have

Thanks for the reply. What would be a good tuner to get?
