the FuelMoto micro tuner. easy to use and won't void the warranty.

whenever buying a tuner other than HD check FuelMoto, they offer a lot of support for the tuners they sell as well as free tunes when you buy, its very useful when you are now starting off, so, its a no brainer to get from them.

I wouldn't waste my money on a HD tuner. But then you already wasted money buying a warranty...for a 2014? What were you thinking?

The bike only has 6800 miles on it. I thought it would be worth getting a warranty.

ok, the first thing that you need to get through your head,,,,you did not buy an HD New Vehicle Factory Warranty,,,period. However this is GOOD news,,,,you can get yourself tuned up with a Powervision or a TTS Master Tune.
If you do not know how to tune EFI you will spend less money finding a tuner that works with the Powervision Tune License program and have your bike professionally tuned, in the end the best bang for your buck if you do not know how to tune it yourself..
if you must,,,,,the Powervision 2 and the TTS Mastertune unit are the 2 top dogs and you should choose one of these, just remember, there is a very steep learning curve and there is NO SUCH THING AS AUTO TUNE!!!

I don't think it was wasted money buying the service plan. I did the same thing on our 14 Ultra Classic that had 8k miles when we bought it knowing it would only take 1 or 2 problems to cover the cost of the service plan. Luckily haven't had to use it yet but have only put an additional 8k miles on the bike so far.

Great info there. Thank you!!! The only reason I'm asking about a tuner is the previous owner did a stage 1 to it. I have no idea if it was tuned after the upgrades. I know after changing the pipes and air cleaner it could potentially be running lean. I've always been a Shovel/Evo guy. This is my first fuel injected bike. Kinda new to me.

It was a waste. Especially for someone that says he does all his own work.
Now if something does need attention/replacing, you're going to get oem. Not always a good thing.
If it's been less than 30 days, you might be able to opt out.

Look under the seat on top of the battery cover, this module is the engine ECM, is there anything plugged in between this module and the factory harness? Popular tuners of the time were power commander and an early version of the fuel pack, they would be plugged in there. Other popular option for stage one set up was a resistor plugged in between the O2 sensors and the harness, excides I believe they were called. These are under your right side cover. If a flash tuner such as screaming eagle, TTS or power vision was used it's going to be harder to tell. Any extras come in the bags that you don't recognize? Asking because I had a guy get a power vision with his used bike and had absolutely no idea what it was for

Take some pics and we can help you identify if there is any of these devices used on your bike
