Asking because I had a guy get a power vision with his used bike and had absolutely no idea what it was for

Take some pics and we can help you identify if there is any of these devices used on your bike

I looked under the left cover and found nothing. I will pull the seat and right cover tonight and take a look.
I've been looking at tuners. Kinda leaning towards the PV4.

If you only plan on flashing a canned map or taking the license to a tuner and having them use the license to tune it that may work for you. If you plan on using it for live gauges I'd suggest you keep looking. Went out yesterday for a ride, first in a month or so and had the failed to login problem again with the PV4 app which effectively makes the device unusable. The failed login has been a persistent problem since I bought the PV4 last May. The design of the PV4 app requiring login for local functions is crippling the device and shouldn't be a requirement. I strongly urge you to review the PV4 app reviews on both google play and apple store before making your choice.

If you're somewhat knowledgeable and can understand the detailed explanations of all the parameters and what they do, the TTS can do so much more than the PV. If having a 3 inch screen attached to your handlebars is important and need a simple, easy to use interface, then get the PV but NOT the PV4. Stick to the PV2B and don't waste your money on Target Tune. It doesn't do what people think it does.

I'm thinking of doing Stage I. Was on the phone with fuelmoto just now and the Guy recommended PV4. Similar to OP I need to figure out what tuner to go with.

I don't need anything fancy that attaches to handlebars. I'll be taking my bike to a dealer with new head pipe+slip ons + air ceaner + tuner. Once put together by dealer I dont want to play with any of the inputs. Something like plug n play and then forget. Sorry OP don't mean to hijack, thought this would help us both.

Based on your stated needs you don't need to buy a tuner. Just buy a license and let your dealer tune it with that license.

It has aftermarket. mufflers and a K&N air filter. This is all new to me. Thank you
Pass on the SE tuner. it is not up to the task. Designed to work wit SE parts and very limited in ability to tun.

Sometimes I wonder if they plan on screwing people by selling them.

But now, I believe with power vision you can buy a new licesnse for around $250. So then I would keep the tuner, or try to honestly sell to someone. Verify for yourself
