Stevo you would fit right in at work. We have a guy that rides one everyday. He parks between the GW and my RG. Main thing is ride safe, cagers don't see ya.
Stevo - I'd look around at a couple of scooter forums before you jump into the scoot you posted about - There is a lot of junk out there today - a major problem with these unknown brands is getting service and parts - they are all over theinternet and you'll also see em being soldon the side the roador used car lots - A major complaint about these is no one will work on them cause the shops know they can't get parts to fix em and they didn't sell it to ya so dealing with a bike like this is a headach for the shop/dealer - I don't know where in ia your at but if you're close to one of these shops I'd ck them out - Or look around in the yellow pages for a shop and go see the shop and see if they even have an aircleaner to fit it in stock -

Man, we all start somewhere. 20 bikes and 40 years ago I bought a Honda Super 90 for my first bike. Now I'm on my 3rd Harley. You'll get there.
When I started riding, everyone started on something small. Today however we have people buying big Harleys as their very first bike. I don't get that mentality.

My truck doesn't work. And a car is not neccesarry (i'll be getting my dads soon enough before the cold weather kicks in). I've never riddin a motorcycle, though i do a fair share of mountian biking (bicycle). I'd like a bike, not a harley to start out with, but something street legal. Harleys and motorcycles in general are a bit more than i have the money to pay. mopeds are more in my price range, but being from milwaukee, and a good bunch of my relatives have harleys, would it be looked down upon?

Stev,
If you actually want a scooter, go with the Kymco's you get a great warranty with them and they are really nice scooters. We had 3 of the ZX 50's and used them down OC and had a ball on them. They have larger diplacement engines also. If you buy the off the wall scooters, you'll be sorry when you need a part.
some people will knock on you for anything. i can honestly tell you that i've had some ridiculously good times on a vespa scooter. people trip out when you pass them on one wheel on a scooter.get it-ride it-enjoy it. don't care what anybody thinks and you will have more fun than most of these idiots on their over priced, weighed down status symbols. you'd be surprised how far and high you can jump one of those without destroying it too.
For a thousand bucks get you a good used jap bike. I've bought several CB750's and CB900's over the years for a lot less than that, and ridden them thousands upon thousands of miles with minimal maintenance. Check you're options in small "real" bikes before dropping your wad on a scooter. You'll be able to carry more stuff, keep up with traffic, and ride a girl on the back. You also will avoid looking like a monkey f'ing a football.
Well, I'm gettin my moms 2001 Monte Carlo. for free
thats convienent.
way to go ...start talking about getting a bike and it scared your mom into giving you her car!! hey it's not a bike but its got a back seat you can screw your girlfriend in!!!
