Corrupted Dealers
Like every H-D, they were what I refer to as "kit bikes". You buy them, redo the stupid **** the Moco did with better stuff, and customize them.
I keep them because I don't want to start over with a new one.
The original post gets my vote.
Oh, one more thing:

I've bought 4 new rides in the last 3 years (3 vehicles and one bike)
I know a little about the car sales biz and did my homework on the vehicles I was interested in
was straight up with the salesmen
"Here's where you need to be if you want to make the sale.
If you can get there, we have a deal . if not, not hard feelings, business is business"
all but one wouldn't make it happen.
another dealer of same vehicle did though
or is the use of marketing tactics (mind manipulation) salesmen are taught to influence a favorable response you disdain?

They are in business to make money!
One of the main reasons they love "Payment" buyers.
It is everyone's responsibility to do their research on new and trade in values, ask what the OTD price is and be prepared to have to negotiate to get there.
A smart buyer can hold their own, say NO and walk if necessary.

I dont blame it on the dealers, much as I dislike them, having once been in the car biz, I get it, but its the Moco that created this, demanding taj mahal dealerships...
