Started out on what was supposed to be a pleasant ride after work. Had planned on about an hour ride before dinner when things turned sour. I pulled out of my development and started up a long winding hill heading into the country. I have to pass the local high school about a mile or so away when several school busses pull out of the drive and begin to head in my direction. Out of nowhere something comes rocketing towards me and I move my head to the left and it crashes into my right shoulder nearly knocking me off my bike, I believe it to be a baseball but I only caught a glimpse. I regained my control and barely stayed upright. Shaken and confused I continued on with my ride and after getting home I have a nice bruise and cut on my shoulder. I wish I was able to turn around and follow the bus but the road wouldn't allow this.
I would like to have reported this kid's dangerous actions. I could have ended up in a really bad way. Just lucky I guess or I was concentrating well as I rode. Sorry for the long post but this kind of shook me up. Never had anything like this happem before in my few years of riding.
If a kid threw a baseball at you from one of the busses you had better pay the office a visit and let them know. That's BS, they might not catch the kid but those busses may have video cameras of the passengers. DP
