Denver is nailing bikers big time for loud,eg,aftermarket pipes.The fine is big too. You did good to be polite. Better thangoing to jail,paying a big fine,loosing your liscense,and having your bike impounded.

The stamped pipe law has been in effect in Denver since 7/1 and to this date I've neither talked to or heard ofanyone who's been ticketed for thier pipes (OP included)...I've personally ridden past LEO's downtown on more than one occasion since 7/1 sporting my V&H pipes and never got as much as a second look...you could hardly call the enforcement of Denver's stamped pipe law "big time".

Friend of mine is a Denver LEO and they took a class that gave them a small mirror on a telescoping rod. This way they can look for the EPA stamp on the bottom of the pipes. They arent ticking for the loudness, its not having the EPA stamp on the bike that you get the ticket for.
I wonder if that can be stamped, carved or imprinted on to my Rhineharts?

He was on the standard Harley Police Motorcycle. He didnt say if he rode outside of work. I would guess that he did.

Really if you hadn't been speeding you would have never been pulled over.

In Oklahoma 10mph over and under are zero points and dont go on your driving record. the state passed the law due to a lot of cities in the state using traffic fines to gain revenue. The state has even had to restrict some cities from writing tickets on the interstates.
I personally hate it when someone has a need to share their views about my life. If i am not endangering them or their tax money its none of their business what i wear and when.
I also understand about finding a stamp. I think the non-stock law is bogus too.
