Do you only buy HD accessories or do you include other companies because of looks/cost?
Dave
If you don't think outside the bun, you're missing out. I have a bit of everything..... HD, Kuryakyn (awesome stuff), Drag Specialties.... the only garbage chrome to stay away from is Custom Chrome...
Everything on my bike is HD except the grips (Kuryakyn) and saddlebags (generic). Whatever you do, don't pay full price.
There has to be more competition to lower prices for everybody, and that means sometimes not buying an HD accessory from your HD dealer that he's getting a 40% profit margin on.
there areWAY too many good companies out there making high quality parts to stick to stuff madeONLYby harley.....take exhaust for example. look at the few offerings made by harley and then look at all the other options that are out there. yes, there are some companies that manufacture and sell crap, but there are many reputable companies making high quality parts as well (V&H, Rinehart, Bassani, Thunderheader, etc, etc....) my point is, don't limit yourself. just because a product doesn't have the bar and shield on it, doesn't make it crap.
Engine guard, grips, sissy bar and a couple of pieces of chrome are Harley. Sissy bar pad, foot pegs, bags, pipes, windshield, driving lights, all other chrome pieces are aftermarket.
