Got a membership for buying a new bike. Don't really want to ride with a Hog Chapter. They ride too slow.Like my own style of riding. A flat bed and wrecker ain't far away.
I've rode with a Club as a guest before, they ride better and faster.
Never wanted to go to any of the Rally's. I know I could git 10% off at my dealership if I joined. But I'm kinda of a Loner. Always have been.
Just my 2 cents.
I second that 100%. I'll ride with my brother anytime he's ready to roll but other than that it's solo for the same reasons.
If HOG is anything like the Gold Wing Road Riders Assciation (GWRRA).....no thanks.
I belong to GWRRA for the towing service if needed..plus they have a book (GOLD book)with all
the members listed and what help they can provide (tools/trailer/phone/tour guide, camping space, etc).
I have belonged to groups/clubs before and found them too cliquish...10 % of the members doing 90% of the work.....
I do like the magazine that I get with my 1 year free. I don't see me renewing though just for that.
I have a national and local membership. I upgraded my towing service as well and think it's a good deal. If you think you may want to join a local chapter or attend the rallys, then join. Or join to upgrade the towing service if you don't have any other service.
most cycle ins. policies include towing so the roadside assistance is really overlapping coverage, but my biggest beef is with their magazine,. Themagazine isjusta harley ad front to back with with anti-loud pipes crap mixed in the middle and I AM SUPPOSED TO BUY IT I don"t think so [:'(]
