I have the same one as Bluerose. The yellow Sears jack is the best of the two at sears. It's on sale this week for $149.00 and it can fit under your bike with it on the Jiffy stand unlike the red Sears one and other cheap ones. It also weighs half as much as the cheap red one. All the cheap ones like they sell at Harbor Freight and other places are just like the red one at Sears, El Cheapo. Do a search and you will find 1216 threads on this subject. LOL JMHO

I have had the yellow aluminum jack from Sears for a couple of yearsand have had no problems with it. I fits under my Heritage with no problem. I just wish I could afford a lift and have a place to put it.

I've used the yellow sears jack and it is very stable. I just bought one from PepBoys for 49.00 (after a 20.00 rebate). It's a solid jack but could be a little wider for stability. I like the locking mechanism on it and as my garage is kid free, I don't have to worry about the bike getting bumped into by a roaming child.

I have a total of three jacks now. I have a old one red Craftsman one that has been in use for about 5 years now with no problems at all. I also have a Yellow craftsman one.....its much lighter (I could care less I ain't lifting the jack), and looks a bit nicer, but I dont think it is as stable as the red one.....the yellow one needs one cross brace welded onto it across the front lift arms to get it just right. Since they were on sale a few weeks back for $69.00 I bought another red Craftsman unit......I figure for the price its kind of hard to beat it. I use them all the time for everything from general cleaning to oil changes to full maintenance.

I'm eyeing this one - http://www.handyindustries.com/shop/...mp;D=1&S=4

I had a Handy stand for my Triumph and it was very nicely made, but I haven't tried this particular model yet.

J & S all the way.... completely stable and solid. I spoke with one of their reps who said the higher you jack up the bike, the more stable the lift becomes. I can tell you from experience that is true.

Wish I'd known about 10% discount for Forum members when I bought mine...

Purchased the yellow Sears bike jack two weeks ago. It does everything it is supposed to do. Starts out at 3.5" which is more than enough under bikeclearance and raises to a maximum of 19" with provided extensions (if needed). IMHO I have experienced 0 problems with the jack. Sears Red jack starts out at 5" which could be a problem for some motorcycles. Sale price of $159.95 ran out on 29 Sept 2007.
