In all my years of riding (25 of 'em) I have never heard the Lemon Pledge thing for waxing bikes or cleaning windhields, but it was a big thing with owner pilots (I fly, too) on windshields. I never considered it would work on a scooter, as well.
I heard about using lemon pledge on a previous post and have used it all summer on my 07 ultra, bugs come off easy and the rain slides off to keep it nice and clear to see going down the rode.
I,m sold on this as a quick clean tool but still give a good coat off wax when I have time to give it a good cleaning[sm=bounceybounce.gif]
Pitts: In my experience, it is the Lemon that works much better at cutting the bug stuff and other foreign glazes from the plexiglas than the standard Pledge. I tried a month of use of the standard Pledge on my Cessna 180 windshield. After that month, I could tell that the lemon version worked better and with less effort. Perhaps your results were different. ............ BC
BC, nope my results are exactly the same. I was commenting on an orange or citrus flavor they came out with a few years ago which a few of us tried (just for sake of variety, you know...even lemon gets boring after a while). Found it carried something in it that left a kind of gunge on things so went straight back to lemon. I don't know what's in that stuff, but they've got a terrific product. I hadn't thought of using it on the paintwork, though. I think I'll give that a try!
and keep cupcakes/omlets from sticking (this is not to say that lemon pledge should be used for cooking.....just that it keeps them from sticking.)
Can I use Honda spray on my furniture?
Sprayed my wheels with wesson.....it all came back except for a teaspoon (where did THAT go?)
Got over spray on my pipes........smells good . Might stick some velveeta in the pipe to simulate "GRILLED CHEESE".
Me? I use PLEXUS on my windscreen. Cessnas be damned.
Save a few cents. Tight wads.

Ride Safe!
Okay....so I am quoting myself here. Anywho!! I tried the pledge today on the scoot and I was shocked!!! OMG it looks awesome, glad that I ran into this thread. I still think I will use the Plexus on the windscreen........but I am now a "pledger" LOL. The only dam drawback was that the smell reminded me of having to clean the house []..... I love detailing the bike, it is a sin to clean house on the weekend when I could be riding. LOL
I'll second that Tuckahoe! I told the wife to pick some up and used it and holy sh*t! that cheap can of pledge is phenominal! My Springer is Sunglo red and black and the gold flake jumps right out at you! I ahd som oh so light surface scratches and they have gone the way side, it actualy looks like a fresh paint job. I did learn one thing .....dont spray on your bike but spray it on the diaper then wipe it on or the pledge finds it's way all over everything.
