Default Fluids at 5000 miles

How many people changed all their fluids at the 5000 mile service? The manual says only engine oil. When talking to the service guy at the dealer I told him I was running mobile 1 and would supply my own fluids. He suggested changing all fluids instead of just the engine oil. He also said HD recommends changing Syn 3 every 5000 miles. That doesnt seem very good for synthetic oil to me.

I change all of mine at 2500 miles or when I get bored, whichever comes first.

I still use plain old dead dinasour oil in all three holes of my bikes and I change all fluids at around 2500 to 3000 miles. I do the same in my cars. Maybe I'm a little ****, but freequent oil changes are not that expensive and it makes me feel comfortable.

yup, I do the same thing, I figure since I got all the stuff out, why not just change all fluids? I suppose you can't go wrong. I think it would only help all the effected areas.

I normally change all three about every 3,000 miles. I run full synthetic.

I'm getting ready to change all fluids at the 5K service which I will do myself, that way I know everything is done and done right.

I wondered about the need to change all fluids at 5K intervals myself. Obviously the motor oil needs to be changed every 5K or less and even the primary with the all the moving parts should be changed every 5K or less, but what about the tranny?

I just performed a 10K service 2 weekends ago and as I suspected, the tranny oil looked damn near new, but I guess looks can be deceiving in terms of oil breakdown.

So considering changing the tranny is the fastest of the 3 to change and only costs a quart or less to fill depending on the bike model, I'll stop questioning if the tranny oil really needs to be changed every 5K and just do it.

I change all fluids and spark plug every 5K. Changing the spark plug is not needed I know but seems like my bike performs better with a new one.

I just performed my own 1000k on my 2008 Ultra. I used Syn 3 but when the engine gets warm the oil pressure is lower than on dino oil. IF I use Mobile 1 and Redline in the tranny will it void the warranty????
