The description of the HDF site at its URL is "Discussion forum.... ". Are we discussing (and having fun)yet? or should we adopt President Hillary-type rules that we don'tdare say or think certain things or ride certain scoots?
i couldn't help it . but this subject seems appropriate to the trend on this forum.after hearing the latest, "you might be a biker if...." post, i just could resist.iread here about bad azz this, 1% attitude that,is a deluxe a girlie bike, do my "rock n' republic" jeans hold up to a 500 mile ride??? come on now, unless you guys are purposely trying to be entertaining,(most of you aren't)it actually seems to be watering down this forum.i'll be the first to say that this place has generated a good amount of knowledge and how to's, but lately it's been more of a beauty shop atmosphere around here.but i guess with 50k or so members in here , there are bound to be plenty of beauticians in here.so no disrespect to my fellow rainbow riders, friends of dorothy, or dikes on bikes members. and to all the others who may take offense for whatever reason you may come up with, i offer no apology.
so "man up" you sissyfied bunch of wanna be "bikers" if indeed you are one, put down your mousse, hair gel, your diesel jeans ,your oh my god fingerless gloves, and oh yeah your swash buckling era skull caps, and just ride. i assure you that in a crowded bar or hangout the last thing you will bring up is your "diesel" jeans, and how good the make you feel!!! f**kin queers i swear !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont sugar coat it...what are ya really tryin to say?? LOL. This is a good one, alot of truth.
Finn: I'm with you! Here in the Las Vegas area it is too hot for full fingered gloves during the summer. I have Carpal Tunnel in my left hand. My padded work out gloves help prevent a throbbing pain in the left hand after a long ride. And on top of being fingerless, the backs of the gloves are pinkish/red! Now, I am a LEO, I don't shave while off-duty, I weigh 230 lbs., stand 6 ft. and never wear matched-color clothing. I have never had a comment direct to my face over the gloves or the fact that I am usually riding a Sportster. While the initial post has some tongue-in-cheek validity, we can go too far in specific criticism. JMHO..... BC
