Default HOG Chapter

Who here belongs to the HD HOG Chapter ?

One more dumb question...

Do you wear the HOG patch..?
Do you have it on your jacket or vest ?
If so, where did you have it sewn on at ?

I have a HOG patch on the back of my denim jacket. The local chapter bar is above he HOG emblem.

I had both patches sewn on at a local embroidery shop. It cost $5.00 to have both of them sewn on.

I am a local Hog member but not a real active one, I use it for the discounts at my local dealer which more than pays for the membership. I dont do many ride with them cause I prefer small groups or riding alone. I dont wear any patches.

I wear the National HOG patch on my vest. I did not join a local chapter because there was not one really close enough to me.

I belong to both national and local. (came with the bike)

I plan to go to the next meeting and see what's what.

I will probably retain the local membership after the first year.

What is the difference in local and national?

Does this answer your question

I have belonged to the Central Illinois Chapter (Effingham) since 1986. Have had many good times and great rides with them. Great bunch of people.

Hey Andy.............the wife and I belong to HOG and Ladies of Harley respectively. We have not yet joined a local chapter but we have lived here now for a year so I guess we may think about it.

Had been part of a Chapter for about 2 years though before moving.

Which are you in [if any] Bumpus or Boswells?

I wear the patch on my vest along with the pin. I'm a member of both the Nat and Loc chapters. However, I just joined the local, though...so I don't know much about what they do. Seems like they're a bunch of nice people, though...From those that I've met, at least. I'm really looking forward to doing some rides with them...just to see what's up. Hey TerryT...I'm from Odin, originally...If ya know where that is. It's smack in between Salem and Centralia in case ya don't. Oooh...Ragin...If you look at the following link... http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/C...p?locale=en_US you'll find a place to 'find a local chaper' Hope this helps!!!

>>What is the difference in local and national?<<

FireHawk--

National membership comes free for one year if you get a brand new scoot. After that, it's an annual renewal. Local memberships are typically associated with dealerships. You must belong to the National group to join a local.

You can go to the HD website and follow the links to find a local chapter, or just check with a nearby dealer.

Hope this helps.
