Denium Vest?
Back in the late 1960's, early 1970's many of us in MC's wore the 'cutoff' jean jackets, usually Wrangler brand.
Needless to say, I'm a 'pack rat' and very seldom throw anything away..
Few months ago I was looking through some old storage boxes that haven't been opened for years, and I noticed an old Wrangler jean jacket that must have been purchased around 1970, and wasn't worn a lot or destroyed. Hard to remember a lot from back in those days, but for some reason this jacket 'survived' and was never turned into a cutoff vest.
It's in good shape, and the only patch is a harley bar & shield patch above the front left pocket. It's a size 44, but I tried it on andit still fits me perfectly (I have a 42" chest, both now and way back in 1970 as well), so it would fit best for someone that wears a 40 - 42.
Both the jacket and patch are 'very vintage', being approximately 37 years old.

I snapped a couple pictures of it, and it needs to be washed as it's been in 'box hibernation' for over 35 years, but doesn't have any holes or rips or tears...
Why buy one of these new foreign madejean jackets when you can get one of these original, Made in USA "real deals". Let me know if you are interested in it.

Does the collar sting your neck at highway speeds when the vest is not buttoned to the top? I have a levi vest and cut the collar off because it was uncomfortable.
I agree on the thrift store idea. I was at the AMVET thrift store Monday and must have seen about 8 or 10 denim jackets all priced around $5 each.
