Is it true that the denim colors start to take on a different look after awhile? I have a new 2008 street bob (hasn't been delivered yet) and I would like any suggestions for keeping it looking sharp
I haven't read anything in these forums about color changing with time. Nor have I read any thing about any kind of treatment. For sure you wouldn't rub it out and polish it.
They are supposed to age, but I haven't seen it. My black denim is about 15 months old. But I also don't leave it out much, but it's seen the sun for 7k miles
Clean you whole bike with windex and a microfibre rag.
The Denim paint will buff and so on if you rub it or whatever. to give the bike "personality"...
Harley claimed that the denim would burnish like blue jeans................It is supposed to..................I also have a 2006, I thought mine had not changed either.............take off the tail light and tell me its the same color......It does fade, most people just dont notice because the whole bike is faded.........I also think harley said it would burnish...because they were unsure about the long term effect of this paint....LOLIFE........ .................. .............
