changing bars

How hard is it to change out bars on a 81 sporty I dont need to replace notin all i got to do is switch

Its not hard at all. Especially if your not going to wire the bars internally. If your changing out the bars for more pull back, or wiring them internally youll probably have to cut the wires and extend them and solder them back together. If your just going to run the wires on the outside of the bars, all you ahve to do is unbolt the swithch boxes and clamps that hold on your clutch and brake levers unbolt your riser top cover, change out bars and then bolt everything back up.

Its not very hard. If you have ever removed a set of grips before and have gotten through it with no problems that its a quick job. Most of it is just nuts & bolts. When you put the pinch bolts in...or the "cover" that sits right over the steering head area, I like to tighten the front two snug first....then tighten the rear two. If your not too sure about how tight.....get the specs and a torque wrench.
