kinda funny...
I live in the Dallas area and just returned from a 3 day 1600 mile ride on my 2006 Street Bob that went west to El Paso, north to Sante Fe, back through Amarillo on the way home. It was pretty chilly so I had on my leathers and since I don't have a full face helmet, I wear a neoprene mask that has a skull on the outside of it. On the morning of day 2, I stopped at a gas station just west of Van Horn, TX and as I turned my engine off, the sherriff pulls up beside me and says, "Hey boy, they don't have any cash in there." Thinking I didn't hear him right, I asked for him to repeat what he said as I was taking off my helmet, gloves, and mask. He repeated it and said that if I had walked in with that mask on, I probably would have been shot because they were robbed a couple of weeks back and are a little edgy inside. I chuckled, thanked him for the warning, and told him I had plenty of cash on me but just wanted some gas.
I wonder if he called the wife and told him about his run in with a 1%er...
