I know exactly what you mean. There is just something about that bike when I look at it. Makes me proud. I think the girlfriend is a bit jeleous of Lucille!

That's funny. I think there's a lot of us that need therapy.

Yes, I love my H-D.too, I can stand and look at it sitting in the drive, admiring all it's gracious curves and it's colorful paint, with that mean and muscular 883 nestled within it's frame. But it isn't the same kind of love as loving my human soulmate. It is about the most enjoyable activity I've ever done in an upright position.

I must say I love the riding and very very much like my bike, but at the very same time I always try to remember, if I am careless it will kill me in a heartbeat.

Okay, so you are all glad you have a 'Harley'.......so am I, but I have feelings for this bike that , well, I'm not sure are normal.
Not exactly love..........but close to it.
Do you all have this feeling toward your cycle.........do I need therapy?

I still don't really understand the feeling of wanting to stare at your scoot.
To wash and wax it all the time so it's always perfect. I know a few guys who spend way more time cleaning their ride than riding it. I hope I never understand what that feels like.

But -

When I'm riding my bike is a part of me and I a part of it. It's like an extension of my arms and legs that reacts not from my purposeful moves, but pretty much from what I want it to do.
Any of you guys who've run heavy equipment like excavators and backhoes know what I mean - the equipment becomes just an extension of your body and it moves with you.

Is that love? I don think so - move like co-dependancy

Sounds pretty normal to me.I have been in love since the first time I ever heard one of those ground pounders climbing a hill.
