One thing is interesting on this and other jack threads.. From what I have read most named jacks people have both positive or negatives expeiences for specific jacks. I have not heard any negatives posted by anyone on a J&S jack. Tell me something about their quality...
I had the red Sears jack and it's a POS. So why buy their yellow made in China POS? I definitely am ordering a J & S jack and that has nothing to do with the first post expert to agree with his decision.
With the spacers I have for my LR and those jacks are too low. The J & S jack is wider if I am correct so no need for the spacers. =)
Lowryder
I also ordered a case of fingerless gloves in case I loose a pair or two.
I've never had a Larin motorcycle jack, but I have had a couple 3 ton floor jacks, & they are junk. The first one worked for about 2 months. It would even raise a 2500 lb race car. Took it back & got it replaced. The second one worked for about a year, & pooped out. IMO, Larin = POS
As far as the quality of the J&S jack,, this is one of the reasons that prompted me for this post, and please dony forget I also dropped my new bike. Where my Larin just barley caught the frame on both sides with aboutone inch to spare, the J&S has a good 3 inches on each side of the bike frame,it also has avary wide stance.. It raises almost 20 inches off of the ground, locks into place, and you can easily spin the bike around in circles if you want, it also has a lifetime warranty. It just pure quality,, heavy duty... Its a little more money ,, but I will be the last jack you will ever purchase..I just appreciate quality... Please Dont BLAST me,, this was in response to the post what are the good points about this jack... I do no work for J&S
