I ride everyday, to work, for pleasure, for relaxation...
I only use the 4 wheel deal for days when the weather just does not permitt or challenging for riding (we do have some windy days with Sand Storms out here)
Basiclly it is my Therapy for life...
My wife has her own Bike and rides allot also but I just dont think she has grasped it like the rest of us
Daily trasportation, and therapy. Living in Tucson its a year round thing. People ask me all the time if i rode to work today, and after 7 years riding every day you would think they would ask if i drove instead. Its gotten to the point where i feel claustrophobic in a car and it seems people miss alot of life being in one.
I ride to work and at work I take delivery all the state and to DC. I go to meeting every night of my life. I go to coffee shop every night with all the other bikers. To get food and just to have some enjoyment to add to mine life. I just came back form DC. It is in the low 30's. Boy it was a cool ride. live to ride and ride to live. Life is so much easyer that way.
My favorite rides are long trips - vacations! I do ride locally too, but I do not ride to work every day. I have another hobby - golf - and I usually take the cage to work so if it turns out to be a nice day I can leave work and hit the golf course. When I do ride to work, I never save any gas money because the one-way trip to work becomes about 60 miles instead of the 20 miles it takes in the car. I can't figure out how that happens, but it does.
There's such a solitary peacefulness when you're on the bike. No music, no talking, no thoughts of problems. Since I live in New Mexico I'm fortunate that I can ride all year long. A coupledays of snow is all we see in my area and I still ride in the snow because at the most it'sonly a couple of inches. What I especially like in the wintertimeis to ride my bike in the evenings when itsnows lightly and take in the silence all around and see the X-mas lights and decorations. There's just such a somber stillness that's intense.
