Was riding down in Hollywood when I first got to CA, figured that the Sat. before Halloween would have some good eye candy in La La Land. So I was riding down Santa Monic Blvd no probs, cut up vine St., and turned onto Hollywood Blvd and HOLY GOD. Literally a parking lot! Kept shutting off the bike when sitting longer than 3-4 mins. Got really bad and finally had to flip a bitch and head for cooler open areas. The hog was hot as hell and running like ****, but rode around back to Universal City and found a nice road up the backside of the Hollywood Hills. Air was REALLY cool back there and in the Hills.
All I can remember is that if I had stayed on Hollywood Blvd any longer, I would have burned my legs. Thought about lane splitting it up the the next intersection, but there were MASS cops out there that night and I wasnt about the get myself pulled over for whatever reason.
But hell, I did see enough hotties wearing basically nothing to completely refill the spank bank! So i guess it was worth it.

1. Getting the bike properly tuned with a SERT or PCIII will help a lot.
2. Switching to true dual and getting the bike tuned.
3. Buy the Kuryakyn saddle guards which fit right under the front part of the seat on both sidesand blocks the heat from the cross over pipe.
I just unzip my fly when i'm riding, cools me right down.(it also serves as an open invitation for my wife to give me a "reach around")
