I figured I would try to get out to the shop today instead of just sitting around and letting it stiffen up on me and so far so good. A couple of times I steped wrong and about went down but heading for the hot tub now with a Jack and Coke, should work.
As far as the squirrels go, its open season!

they platinum gremlin bell is supposed to work against squirrels. Apparently you didn't have one!
This would be true but the main question I have is - aren't squirrels a relative of rats? Why didn't you just run over him????

I personally with run over any animal that gets in front of me if there is isnt another out. Doesnt bother me in the least. I would rather run it over than risk hurting myself or my bike. Only problem I have is this, I hit a possum one night coming home from the coast. It was late when I got home so figured I would clena the bike in the morning. didnt realize that thing had squirted guts ALL OVER the bottom of my bike and the pipes!! Nastiest smell EVER!!! It takesa while to clean guts from the bottom side of a lowered bike!! Would hate to do that on an E-Glide. So many hidden spots you'd have to clean out.

Squirrel Nickname - Speed bump

Only try to avoidsomethingif it is big enoughto take you down. Caught a squirrel in the rear wheel last summer. Missed him with the front, never swerved. I thoughtI cleared him at our stop my buddy told me the squirrel got rolled and throwed. Never even felt it. Had to wash the bike once we got home. []

You can't predict what a squirrel will do. Hold your speed and course steady. 99% of time when you look in your rear view mirror, you'll see that the squirrel simply vanished.

Sorry to hear about your knee. I follow a rule that a friend told me when I started riding..."If it is big enough to eat in one sitting...hit it, otherwise avoid it."
