My present ride has spoked wheels, but I want mags on the next one. I like tubeless and the ability to plug a flat tire on the road until I get somewhere to get it repaired. I know there are places that say they can seal up spoked wheels, but I'm not sure I would trust such a procedure. Spokes are also too hard to keep clean.
I use the blue brush that Harley sells to clean. Works great. I read some where here that you can clean/polish your spokes by using a shoe lace dipped in cleaner, then wrapping it around the spoke and seesawing it back and forth.
One of these days this winter when I have nothing to do, I'll give it a try.
I worried about them for a while. Now I clean at 'em. They're getting blacker and blacker where I can't reach with the rag. I sprayed some S100 on them and they're a little cleaner now. I can't see 'em from the seat when I'm ridin'. Maybe I'll take a longer stab at cleaning them one day. Then again, maybe not.
