Too many laws and selective enforcement. When will it end. Why don't they just pass a law to make bad weather illegal, then you could ride all year long, even up north.[sm=groupwave.gif]
Thats yet another reason I dont go up there......its a second rate country IMHO.....I put it on a par with Mexico.....but at least in Mexico, you can ride all year long!
That's nothing, in Ft. Lauderdale Floridathere's a wake law signat Port Everglades inlet, 10 years in jail and/or $250.000 fine, just for breaking the "no wake" law with your boat. Pretty soonwe will get 20 to life for spitting on the side walk. God help us.
even my 1988 Ford Mustang 4 cylinder was capable of 120.....but that wont get you loss of driving priveldges ......even in that 3000lb sled in rush traffic....I guess a 350lb bike is more lethal ...to 3000lb cars....than a 3000lb car is....hence the harsh penalties...
Waht about driving drunk..isnt that pretty dangerous too? too bad that MIGHT result in a 6 month loss of liscence...
It's more about Mommy Government protecting you from yourself. Not about protecting others at all... People are evidently too stupid to take care of themselves so politicians are going to do it for us.... Of course it was stupid people that voted the politicians into office to begin with?
Maryland enacted a law targeting young drivers. They must have 60 hours behind the wheel before they can go for their license. They can't have non-siblings (under 18) in the car for another # months after that. No cell phones allowed. No driving between midnight & 5am... They slapped themselves on the back for 'saving' lives... Accident rates in Maryland for teens has risen since the law hit the books... We've lost something like 8 kids in Southern Maryland alone this last month... But Mommy Government knows best.... argh. Too bad they don't admit when it doesn't work huh?
ORIGINAL: Fla Glide
So how do you stop stupid on a bike?
I'm for letting natural selection and a little tattoo ink solve the problems...
tattoo "stoopid" on someone'sforehead so everyone knows not to waste any more money on resources on saving them from themselves. same for drunk drivers imo.
