If they are dumb enough to do wheelie on the interstate in rush hour traffic..no way are they gonna pull over and face the consequences....
Yay ..everybody say thanks to the minority of the biker community that will amke it 10 years suspension of bike liscence..even if you are jsut speeding....
I say the lawmakers are smoknig crack...
You think they come down this hard on DUI convictions..no friggen way...
In Illinois, many many many police depts have a NO PURSUIT policy, unless it's a serious crime, a minor crime or traffic offense, no pursuit. If FL has similar policies, all this law is oing to do, is encourage bikes to flee. And the mentality of that style of rider isn't inclined to pull over anyway and meekly take his ticket. So this fix, isn't.
I believe the article said "excessive speeding" and mentioned bikes running 120 mph. Im sure the law differentiates between 10-15 over and 50-60 over the limit.
even my 1988 Ford Mustang 4 cylinder was capable of 120.....but that wont get you loss of driving priveldges ......even in that 3000lb sled in rush traffic....I guess a 350lb bike is more lethal ...to 3000lb cars....than a 3000lb car is....hence the harsh penalties...
Waht about driving drunk..isnt that pretty dangerous too? too bad that MIGHT result in a 6 month loss of liscence...

I sure hope you're right, but unless it's specifically written up that way, I wouldn't take anything for granted.
I was at a red light in Miami waiting to turn left, I looked at the car next to me,man driving, woman in passenger seatholding a baby in her lap, the car next to them, Miami-Dade Police. He let that fly so I can't see this being enforced.

This has been passed around a bit in fl and they aresaying 30 mph over the limit is the cut, and most cities andI believe FHP has a no pursuit policy except in the case of felonys. So if they lite em up they will just run faster, suspending their license will not stop them from riding, seize the bike ( if you can find it) they will buy another..... So how do you stop stupid on a bike?
