Why did Harley drop the Springer for 2008? The company must be tightening their belt by reducing their diversity of models produced. The introduction of the Rockers must be an attempt to gain a foothold in the chopper market. I would have thought that the Springer would have been a very popular model.
That was one of the ones I was interested in and the regular springer softail has been gone for awhile, was one of the coolest stock bike sold.
I also noticed they dropped the Road King Custom, in my eyes that was the sweetest Road King they sold.
I must have strange tastes if they keep dropping the ones that I like!

Afraid not......unfortunatley the springer models are very slow sellers (as xxxflhrci said). I love them, but there just isn't enough of a market. We figured it out in the shop and for every 200 Harleys we sell only 3 of them are Springers. So it lookslike the CVO Springer is the last (wicked looking bike, btw).........at least for now.

I had a 02 Heritage Springer and loved the bike. I had bought my Ultra for a better 2 up bike and for the long hauls but always enjoyed riding the springer. Had a guy keep bugging me to buy it and I finally sold it to him. IMO, one of the best looking bikes Harley produced.
