Wecroft pretty much covered the whole Island. Man you lucky dog i haven't been down there since 2005 we spent 2weeks what a blast. http://www.keywest.com/
Sloppy joes is a landmark you have to have a burger and beer there. and yes no doubt you have to hit Mallory Square at dusk when all the street vendors and displays come out its cool. You name it you will see it.
Man i need to get back down there.
The garden of eden is a little bar on top floor of another bar its clothing optional.
We love Key West - go at least once a year, if not more. I would add a couple of things:
Blue Heaven (Thomas & Petronia Streets) - best breakfast ANYWHERE. Have the lobster benedict and be sure and order some banana bread baked on premises. My wife and I usually split an order along with a fruit plate and some extra bread.
Crabby Dick's on Duval Street - try the Dungeoness crab and you will not be sorry.
If you want to get out on the water, I have two recommendations. One is Seabago Sports "Island Ting." (there are booths all over) It is six hours on a catamaran with snorkeling, a kayak tour around a Mangrove island, breakfast, snacks and lunch. The best bargain on the island, bar none.
There is also a company that does Waverunner Tours - sorry I can't remember the name. It is a 26 mile trip around the island with plenty of play time included. It is a blast.
Before you get to the Keys, hang a left in Florida City and try Alabama Jack's; neat Old-Florida place restaurant/bar (highly recommend the seafood sampler (conch fritters, etc.); enjoyable detour off US.
Love the Keys! Next trip is Feb 9-19th. Normally stay in Marathon but this time will stay in Key West. Love the slow pace and the great weather. Oh, did I mention I love Tiki Bars.
This will be my first trip to FL . It will be a quick one . Leaving Wed. and returning home Sun . We are going to Stay @ west palm beach the first night (700 or so miles) and ride the rest the following day . Hope we have good weather .
