now i just need a gps. i ordered a gps mount for a nuvi 6xx series on thursday. got here today.
mounted it and i looks great. the only thing is i am pissed off at fed ex, i paid the extra for the 2 day delivery. because they dont deliver on the weekend it took 4 days to get here. any way it worked out ok because like i said i dont even have a gps yet.
getting on for xmas though, my mom ordered me one and i found out yesterday form my wife that my mother has it. but wont give it to me till xmas. so instead for the florida rally this weekend i am borrowing her garmin nuvi 660. here is a pic from the website. www.gpscity.comthey were the cheapest mount. the same mount from another company was $10 more
I went with the TomTom. I have an adapter for my truck so I use it in both places. It's all set up with the blue tooth. I like it ok. It wants to take the main streets. You need to keep asking for alternate roughts to get back roads. It is the rider version you would think they would have ask a bike rider what directions should it list first. I want to go to Cycle Barn in Lynnwood so it takes me I90,I405,I5,196th,sr99, destination. Like how much fun can it be riding on I5 in Seattle. Your luckyif youlive through it.
i dont know what type of plug in it is yet. but what i was thinking that if it is a cig plug in. i will cut the wires and wire then directly to the battery. under the seat, up the console and thru the neck.
the only time it will have a draw is when the unit is plugged in. at night i wont leave the unit on so it wont be discharging. i have the acc switch but i already have my light pods hooked up to that.
