Making a Permanent GPS Mount Removable
Just got a Zumo 350 and hated the fact that if you wanted to hardwire the unit, the mount wouldn't be removable. I don't like to leave the mount on the bike when I'm not using the GPS. Looks weird. I did a little splicing and soldering and came up with this. I used a Battery Tender type connector on both ends with a cap on the one staying on the bike. I hardwired it to the accy switch behind the headlight. Now when I'm not using the GPS, I don't have to have that ugly mount sitting on my bike.
