Has anyone purchased this from the dealership?
What it does is covers all parts and labor for every scheduled maintenance for the original owners lifetime ownership of the bike.
Cost at my dealership is $1550.
Just wondering if its worth it or not and if anyone else has shelled out for this.
Lifetime coverage for $1550.00 is a great deal. I purchased a three year, unlimited mileage, service package when I bought my '07 Heritage.I paid $1000.00 for it. In my case it is a great deal. I put 15K miles on the bike, the first year, all scheduled maintenence was done free of charge. Mine paid for itself the first year. If you ride your bike, it is a good deal. If you use your bike for a "garage trophy", it is a loosing proposition.
Thanks for you input. Yea, I ride alot and thought this would be the way to go. I average about 10-12k miles/yr on my other bikes so garage eye candy they are not.
I did it and I am glad. Don't remember what I paid for it but I am sure it will pay for itself. I have too much stuff going on in my life and don't want to spend part of a Saturday or Sunday working on the bike, would rather ride it. I drop it off at Hampton Roads Harley after work and pick it up the next afternoon. It iwll pay for itself.
I paid 1400 for three years unlimited. I do about 25K a year. Tires are included in my plan. This year so far the tire changes alone have accounted for half of what I paid for the plan. For me it's worth it. Plus if there ever is a warranty dispute, the proof of the services is in the dealers computer.
Another thing with the lifetime's is priority service. I bought it out of experience with 2 week wait times in the slower season, up to six weeks when busy. The last time saved me a week, fresh oil for the weekend and complete detail. All I paid was the $30 extra for the synthetic oil.
