Hey there,
I acquired a 1980 XLH, Limited Edition Series One, it's one of 1000 made.Special paint and a
BOATLOAD of engraving on all the exposed aluminum. Looking for information or history of this series. Anybody care to impart some wisdom??????
The paint was a custom set that couldbe purchased and installed. the bikes were not sent from the MOCO with those sets, however most dealers installed on floor bikes. The paint set were awesome in detail. I can remember when I was a kid. They had sets for the XL,the peanut tank for FX's and and FL's had a big eagle on the fairing. The FX's and FL's were busy. That was part of the "Great American Freedon Machine" campaign.
