It just hit me,any of you Drag Racing enthusiasts could help me out.I have loved the sport of Drag Racing all my life, and do a lot of it.My bikes are a reflection of that.I want be in the pits at a Top Fuel all Harley drag race.Would like to look at all of them especially the twin engine bikes.Do any of those meets get into the New England area? How would I find out? Dog
Without looking at the schedule, I would bet they stop at Englishtown every year if not twice.
I caught them in West Palm last year, and if you have not personally seen one of the top fuel v-twin bikes run in person you probably want to bring an extra set of pants or make sure you take a good dump. Those guys are breaking into 7 seconds in the quarter and its nothing short of amazing to see in person.
Also of interest was a couple of guys showed up on those V-rod destroyers. We all know them there is usually one in every dealership back in the corner on display. Well say what you will about the Harley factory but for $35k you can buy one of these turnkey race bikes and what they do right from the showroom floor is better then "oh ****" respectable.
I watched a guy pull one off a trailer, gas it, charge the air bottle, hook his laptop to it and give it a pretty flat mild tune, and run a 10.70 with it. It was pretty damn neat to see.
The owner of V-Twin cycle here in Rochester NH just purchased a Nitro burning racer. He does NE Dragway with his other bikes and I'm sure he will be running it there too this next year. I was in his shop a couple months ago just as he was sorting through everything he bought and assessing everything. Haven't had time to swing by and see how it's coming together.
