So what kind of fuel do you guys run in your bike, reg mid or prim ? I was told to run prim but really what is the difference from any of the 3 does it help with mpg or does it burn better or is it just a bunch of hype??

The recommend octane depends on the bike, both the year and engine size (compression ratio). Contrary to popular belief, running higher than required octane, does not boost mileage or performance.
If in doubt, check your Owners Manual.
I've always run premium. I guess because the higher octane for hotter spark (may be BS). At Laughlin River Run, we found a Texaco in Bullhead City that had 107 octane premium and quite a line waiting to get some. It was like running rocket fuel in my little Evo.

Higher octane does not produce a hotter spark. Higher octane burns slower than regular octane and when used in a motor that doesn't need it, the slower burn causes part of the unburnt fuel to be wasted out of the exhaust.
Money down the drain and lost performance to boot.
There, I fixed it for you.
Not all Sporties require or need premium fuel.
Correct as always. My mistake.
I would encourage guys to read that article about octane rating though. Once you understand what it is, you'll understand why you need what you need, why you don't what you don't, and what happens when you compromise.
