I prefer using HD parts only when absolutely necessary. I will always by aftermarket when quality parts are available. It helps me to avoid the cookie cutter HD look. I don't care about resale value. I never plan to sell [&:]

Im with you I have been steady taking stuff off my bike that says HD on it. Some stuff will just have to stay until it breaks tho.
The walking talking advertisment thing really nags me. I do like my 100th badges tho, Im gonna take them off the harley and put um on the truck when I do the paint.

On a side note, I understand many of us can't afford HD parts and accesssories, but just because we can't afford them is no reason to bad mouth their stuff. I see that bulls**t too much in these posts.

I just wish most of their stuff didn't say HARLEY DAVIDSON or have a bar&shield plastered on it. I'm trying to get all logos off of my bike because I want a cleaner look. Tank badge is coming off too. Has nothing to do with being "ashamed"... that's silly.
