I buy what ever I want to put on my bike. If HD makes the best part, they get my money. If someone else can match them with quality and price, well...they get the sale. I usually do look to see where it is made. If the quality is similiar, I'll pay more for the North American Made.

When it omes to top quality chrome, I will only use MoCo parts.
I won't use Chinese Ness or tasteless Kuryparts anywhere on my bike.
The only aftermarket I'll use, other than MoCo has to be American made.

Most all the MOCO chrome accesories are made in china or tiawan. take a look at the packaging. Not to mention the moco has gotten cheap on there chrome. just had a buddy bought a 07 heritage and he has had several pcs replaced including the front rim from chrome falling off. SUCK

Ill usually stick with HD if I can just because the parts seem to fit better. Granted there are parts that HD makes that is questionable, but for the most part quality remains pretty high.

I disagree.
Yeah, the MoCo does have their share of Chinese parts, but their specs are a lot better than anyone else in the parts business. Most of "sir" Arlen Nesses stuff is pure chinese cheap junk, made at cheap specs.
If your chrome is peeling off of your front wheel, I think your problems are probably traced to either one part, or to your buddy.. All you need to make chrome peel is a spot where air can get under and unseal the plating, such as a dent or a scrape where the plating is compromised..
I know if I were to buy an engine chrome kit for example, I'm buying Moco. If there is a problem, which I doubt, but if there was, I can have an actual face to face with my dealer and get it resolved.
