Have Hubby put a piece of 4x4 lumber or some other bumper on the wall where you park. You can run up till the tire hits and never worry about the fender.
WOW! it was over 70' today. Was in the canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains. We took Pacific Coast Highway and enjoyed a very clear sky and a great view of the Pacific Ocean. You could see Catalina Island at sea level or from a mountain view.
I love California!
I was reallly chomping at the bit to be out but it was family day. We played minuiture golf in Ventura and had a good dinner in Oxnard. Then we decided to change a major present for my son (he changed his mind -- of course) somy daughter and Iwent shopping. Yesterday was clear as could be too....not sure I have seen the islands that well in quite a while. Absolutely beautiful.
Next time rent a few HD's and y'all can haveafamily day while cruising!
By the way, today's highs will be in the mid 70's! Nice and warm however, it's going to be windy in the canyons.
Actually all 4 of us were going "And we didn't bring the bikes why?"....but since we were out after dark and the temp drops pretty rapidly it worked out. Since my kids don't ride often they don't have the gear to be out in the cold.

Glad you are enjoying the new bike!
Actually should be on the garagefloor.
Youcan locate a parking lot limit stop (those cement blocks) or something of that weight.
OK, I'll bite. How did your husband's VTX be allowed on a HOG ride? Around here HOG rides are for HD bikes only. They don't let other brands ride.
Unless it'sspecified by the Chapter, most HOG rides are open to guests. You can ride with them on an off-brand,but you can't join unless you own a HD and you're an active Nationalmember.
Well, where I am, guests still must have an HD bike. There are no other brands allowed on any rides except for the annual toy run to CHOC.
Our chapter allows all bikes..our tailgunner (and chapter photographer) was streaching out his BMW for the day too. Ther eusually are not more the oe or two odd men out. Hubby is a member of the chapter as a National HOG associate member (I am the full member) he qualifies to join the local. Saves on the paperwork for the rides.
Our chapter's attitude is that you hopefully will find your way to a Harley if you ride with them enough...they just don't know hubby well enough
I think what your chaptert does makes a lot of sense. If a non Harley wants to ride with mostly Harleys they probably are considering switching brands. I don't really know why mine is the way it is. Oh well.

It's also great for the spouses (mostly wives admittedly) who are new to to ride and may be on Hondas and Yamahas and working toward thier first Harley. Some folks just aren't comfy on a sportster.
Bev,
You will really like the Adjustable Backrest. I switched put my seat to a Mustang Ultra seat and it will work with the HD backrest. I really like the new seat. I love my Ultra, but not seeing the fender was easier on my Roadking but it will get easier the more you ride the Ultra.
