I'm trying to figure out why most of the posters are trying to justify the use of alcohol. Somewhere, in the deep dark recesses of all your minds.....you know that it is wrong but you do it anyway. Bad Boy image??? Or just the disease that it is...
Buzzed is when you think you're superman and drunk is when you are...........something to do with death defying (not always) acts or something like it???? Might have that bulletproof feeling..........
Accidents that are caused by gross negligence can have criminal charges. A simple traffic violation that kills or injures a person may not carry a criminal charge. Civil charges for wrongful death are always an option.
Since drunk driving is a felony in and of itself; killing someone while driving drunk will get you at the very least a manslaughter charge.
The lesson to be learned is; donât drink and drive or ride.
Are you sure about drunk driving being a felony? In most states it only becomes a felony for the frequent flyers. Im not trying to bust your ***** just never heard of felony charge for first time offender. In New York if your bac goess over .18 it becoes aggravated dwi which is still only a misdemeanor with less leniency as far as pleas go and higher fines.
Tell me where is the justice in that? That happens all the time here in my state.
Because drunk driving is knowingly breaking the law. Any rational person can tell the difference.
Is a person rational who deliberately, or indeliberatelypulls out in front of someone by having their head up their *** while being on their cell phone, fumbling with their CD's,eating, puttin on their make up, being in a hurry, and just not giving a shitbreaking the law?
Alcohol/drugs and motor vehicles don't mix! When you choose to drink/drug and drive you become a hazard to ME on the highway! You are now making choices for me, that I don't have a say in. ZERO TOLERANCE is what I say! We have had enough education over the past twenty or so years, about the dangers of drunk/drugged driving, that there is no excuse for it.
